About Emily…
Emily graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2011 after completing an Undergraduate Degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Since that time, Emily has gained nearly 10 years of experience in working with adults with acquired speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing deficits. Emily is passionate about making therapy as functional and meaningful as possible, incorporating each patient’s individual goals as the primary focus of treatment.
Emily values continued learning and evidence-based practice and was a recent recipient of an ASHA ACE Award for continuing education. Emily is certified in LSVT LOUD, a program targeting the speech and voice of patient’s with Parkinson’s Disease. Emily has also just acquired Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification in September 2020.
Emily lives in Woodlyn, PA with her husband, Erik, their daughter, Lennon, and their son, Michael. Emily is passionate about all things music and Philadelphia sports!
